First of all Paladins need great wisdom and Charisma scores and well, an Aasimar's adjustments are +2 in both of those so I said what the heck, I'll make an Aasimar Paladin. This is is background so far. Calim Silver-Hair: As a youngster he was quite happy as his father was an avid paladin and his mother a homemaker. However, one day his childhood was crushed when he returned from school only to find his father and mother murdered. The following week saw the funeral with a small boy the only relative at the ceremony; he was an orphan. After the burial of his parents he sat there and guarded their graves, even falling asleep in the graveyard. That night, the priest in charge of the graveyard found him and took pity on the child and pleaded with the church to allow him to take the boy under his care. Under this priest, Calim learned how to be a servant of Kelamvor, the god of the dead, and learned how to perform last rights and rage war on the undead that would pop up now and then. His only object left from his family is the longsword he found on his father's corpse that he refused to let go of since. He often can be found meditating in the graveyard, however recently the church has commisioned him to hunt the undead and spread the word of Kelamvor on a more combatative gesture. This is how is adventuring career began.... I just wanted to share his background and ask anyone to add any more details if they would like, to be specific who killed his parents and why. Thanks. |

So you can have many other reasons to have his parents die. But if your father is indeed a pally, there is still many reasons to have him die. Any thieves or slavers guild may want him dead, and his wife was a witness. |

Via Communing with Kelemvor, your tutor learns that the real targets will have a son...that will grow up and die in Kelemvor's service. That is, unless the targets are killed before they can have and raise said son. |
