Playing a cleric is a new concept to me, as is playing a half-dragon/elf (brass dragon at that).... We're using Farun for the setting..... well sort of... I think... My character, Spot, is a really strong really intelegent half dragon who has "lost puppy" syndrome... he's looking for his place in life, he knows it's to serve Aasterinian, but her people are wanders by nature and he is looking for that certin nitch in life. Spot's motives are a little haphazard, but rather passive (untill you cause him harm or irratate him beyond the point of funny).... his traveling party wasn't by choice... actually his current location wasn't by choice... it was for the sake of life... caught in a sand storm, now believed to be cause by a volcanic eruption, Spot took cover in a giant hole in the ground which was created by rock construct spiders (about 20ft tall), in this hole he met a drow who seems to have some interesting powers of sorts (is a psion, and worships the mind flare god, but Spot doesn't know this yet), and for a guy who doesn't see life as Spot does, well he's ok, and is starting to make Spot believe that even drow can have some good in them, next was the hiddious lobster looking guy that jumped into the hole with a human woman clining to each pincher as he roll up his rope with his hands, this guy is definately part deamon... but not the brightest of fellows, and he's a tiny bit on the anoying side. Last to be noticed was the female, she was a bit different, human like in apperance, but her features were slightly finer, Spot finally placed that she was one of the serphent people.... her ways are sly and the drow seems to know something about her that he's not sharing. Anyhow this unlikely band is traveling together looking for a way back out of this hole as the sand storm filled it up (the hole turned into a tunnel), following the tunnel they come to a temple, beat up on a lot of huge bugs (Spot finds that fire beatles make nice snacks), get cornered into helping 3 fadding gods who are being fadded out because of Zargon a hinchman of Lolth and now have to place the bodies of the old king and queen to rest.....

Now like I said I'm not too good at this whole cleric thing because I'm new to it.... does anyone have a good suggestion of how I should handle dealing with Gods that are now my own (and traveling with a NE party then I'm CN)
The only reason why I'm helping these Gods out is because my god gave me the message to put the two bodies to rest, I'd give more information on the other god's but I don't have Spot's journal infront of me right now... I know Gorm is already prisiner to Zargon, and the gal who told us we had to help her and then defeate Zargon to get out of this hole has a pet blue dragon (which made my character really unhappy) the third is a Cherib guy...

I'd really like to make this character worth while, and I know he could be, but I'm needing a little bit of help getting down the cleric personality (I can do the brass dragon aspect fine).... oh and Spot just gained himself a sword with an ego... it's a Large Scimiter that sings and speaks... Spot has a +6 str mod so he can weild it with ease, and it's tempermental to alignment (though it doesn't know that), it weights like 100x as much to anybody who isn't CN... which means that I'm the only one in my party who can use it (and as I'm the one who set the mummy on fire and pulled the sword out there wasn't any arugement anyhow on who got to keep the annoying prize)..

Maybe the fact that you are CN, and what's in your best intrest is not to upset your god. What type of Cleric are you? Healer, controler, some thing else.

Right now I'm more of the meat sheild... but I'm going for healer... I think...
It's kind of hard deciding what you are when you only have 2 lvls of Cleric under your belt ;)
