| Garidas11-18-06, 06:44 PM | Kobold Rogue: He lived in <city name> and was treated as a slave thou he was free, he mostly stole from middle-rich commoners. He became extremly skillful at his work and made his own signal on a piece of pargament and always left that symbol insted of the thing he stole. He was later on taken into a thief-guild filled with humans, elves and dwarves. Now he seeks fame and power. Kobold Ninja: Early taken in by a kobold ninja group in <city name> and has spent his young years in training there. He became awfully good and known inside the group. Later on he left the group to travel the world to see it and learn. He has been a sword for hire last <number> months. Hope this helps, Garidas |

| Daxen11-21-06, 09:36 PM | What about a Kobold Scout? If any race should be good at running in hitting and running away it would kobolds. A larger species of monster's let's say Ogres, has realized that they are no good at gathering intelligence on their enemies. They scower teh local Kbold and Goblin villiages to find scouts for their war parties. You were a great warrior (in the kobold village) and selected by these ogres to become their scout. If good aligned, once you stayed to watch what was done with your valuable scouting information, and thought it too cruel, so you fled and hid successfully with your newfound skills. This also would allow for a story link to becoming a ranger with favoured enemy Giants specifically ogres. You were with them long enough to discover their fighting styles habits and weaknesses. |

One day however a group of adventurers mistook your peacefull village for another tribe of kobolds and laid waste to everything your village had work so hard to achieve. Dureing this assault however one of the adventurers in particuler, a human weilding a rapier and wearing a leather vest (or if you go the knight route, wearing heavy armor and useing a longsword and shield) took out an amazing amount of your bretherin with his skills and after everything was over you gathered what you could from the ruins of your village to replicate his equipment, vengeance the driveing force in your life now you WILL kill the ones who did this to your peacefull but as for that one human you wont just defeat him, you will destroy any hope he carrys at all, you will have him know who his killer is and the reason behind his death, and it will be your name that is the last thing he hears, put to death by the same skills he used to kill your family and friends. as for a kobold rogue you can even use for the above just tweak it so that the kobold decides to use sneak attacks, maybe the one he is after was a rogue and not a swashbuckler or knight. hope this helps but remember. If you use this story your not just playing a Kobold Knight or swashbuckler or what have you. Your playing a Kobold Knight that has nothing left to lose. |

That's... pretty darn awesome... Haha, make him a celestial kobold blackguard or something... |
| SageBahamut11-26-06, 03:05 PM | I can't help thinking, "Hello, my name is Yik-Yik. You killed my father. Prepare to die." (Sorry - I really can't help myself.) As for a kobold concept, all of these posted are really perfect. I'd love to see a Kobold poisonmaker/alchemist who hires himself off as a cook. Maybe he uses liberal applications of Prestidigitation to make the food taste great so nobody will realize he has no actual skill at cooking and is mostly feeding them boiled rat. Rat on a stick. Rat gumbo. Fried rat. Broiled rat. Rat salad. ... sorry. :) |
| Ciradin11-26-06, 03:21 PM | OMG DEEKIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Ahem*... Sorry I was just remembering the only other kobold I've heard of (save for Pun-Pun). He was an NPC in the video game Neverwinter Nights. He started as a bard telling stories to a white dragon. He eventually became a dragon disciple though. Anyway, kobolds are supposed to have dragon blood. For other kobold-ish goodness check out Races of the Dragon. (Another fun fact about Deekin, he would never call the main character by his/her real name. Just "boss" or "the noble hero" |
| Milithor11-28-06, 02:43 PM | What Kobolds lack in Stats they more than make up for in Numbers.... I have had my fair share of adventures with Kobolds... |
