I have a new character that I would like to get going but I cant figuar out how the carrie sheet should be. I'll give you a his background and maybe you can understand why I'm having trouble.

He was born into a noble family 1555 and in 1575 he meet and married a very well know countess who turned him to the dark arts. Before he married the Countess Bathory he had earned the name of The Black Knight as he rode into many battles wearing black armor. After honeymoon, his wife brought him deeper and deeper into the dark arts till he bacame a powerfull dark/evil cleric, his study of the dark arts eventually lead him down the road to becomming a werewolf. Once that happened he compleatly freaked. He realized his wife was compleatly mad, and realized that he could no longer stand by and watch as she killed most of the villagers one by one. Wracked with guilt over the fact that he had let things get this far he turned his wife into the courts and the inquisition only to be very litteraly branded with a pentagon over his heart and nearly killed himself. He bairly escaped with his life. While he no longer activly pratices the dark arts, he could if he really wanted to. Not that he would... He's trying his best to get back to the "light", back to the honorable man he use to be.

I'd like to keep to the traditional "folk lore" werewolf as much as possible without breaking all of DD's rules. Does anyone have any ideas?

Well first all with all this dark knight and dark art stuff, I would say something of a fighter/wizard/cleric mix. However I would just stick to a pure cleric and could still pull off that background.

Now for a god unless your playing with the variant rules where you get your spells and turning abilities from, You should choose a good or neutral god (can only be one step away from you alignment) To show that your attempting to repent for all your past sins. Also quest wise you should be attempting to rid yourself of your wereism to purifiy your soul of the tainted evil.

I hadn't though of the god point.... I was going to have one of the more evil ones, but the neutral/good thing would better reflect his attempts for redemption. It might be interesting to have the evil god trying to kill him or bring him back into the fold.

The variant rules I'm referting to are the "actuall" wolf guidelines. Such as Weakness during dusk hours, Restlessness, Unprovoked rages, Paleness, No-little appetite, Guilt ridden, Decapitation, Silver Bullets, Dismemberment, Often tired and naps alot. There are more I just cant think of them off hand. Most of thoses can be overcome with time.

As far as the questing goes, he's spent the last few hundred years trying to 'cure' himself. Doing everything from drinking salt water, bleeding himself (both 3 drops and till fainting) wacking himself over the head with a iron pipe, sweet water baths and he even sat through an exorcism, stabbing himself in the heart with a silver cross, (all traditional cures) and he was even shot with a silver bullet (the guy missed his heart and hit him in the arm)
