07-27-05, 07:48 PM My Paladin (Half-Cestial Human) is about to become a Kensai, so I need to do his Oath. I just want to know, is this one too corny?

In light of the recent tragedy (a city he was defending was half destroyed, his lover died in the fires), I feel I must step up devotion to my cause, and that is the cause of freedom. Freedom from the tyrannies of hell, and the dominations of Kingdoms. I will fight for freedom in the name of my country, my ideals, my blade, and most importantly, my heart. I will do all in my power to defend the undefended from the control of man and beast. As long as I have my blade and a cause worth fighting for, I will fight. *He starts making motions with his blade, cutting the air as though practicing his swordsmanship* “Life, be my shield *high cut*. Wisdom, give me wings *spreads his wings and flies up a bit, cutting up vertically*. Light, erase my fear. *mid cut*. Honor, guide my step. *he steps forward with a thrust*. Passion, fire my heart! *his sword gleams shining light and power as he cuts diagonally*. It’s done, thank you all for bearing witness.”

No. It's actually very very good. I assume your playing a Paladin of Freedom?
