Hello. I'd like some help fleshing out the backstory for this character somewhat, along with his mannerisms.

He is going to be a Kobold that goes Warlock to Acolyte of the Skin, possibly with demonic wings from taking the winged template. (We play with the LA buyoff from UA so it wouldn't be too big of a deal, mainly for character.) The basic story for him goes something along the lines that he is a Kobold thats bloodline was touched by a demon. Marked out for greatness, he quickly rose to a high rank among the Kobold's in his den. But his power was not great enough to satiate his desire, he heard rumors of being able to bind a Demon to ones skin to gain their power. He led an expedition into a demonic cabal, slaying the worshippers to get the book containing the dark ritual.

In the process he lost all of his men, he then goes on to complete the ritual, binding himself with the demon. The demon grants him a glimpse of the future, of wasted kingdoms and destruction and him at the head of it all. He panics, he afterall is just a Kobold. He looks back at all the friends he lost to achieve his power and he realizes that he does not want this, he does not want it at all. But the demon is fused with him, and the demon's plans are that of destruction. The only way he believes he can stop the Demon is to become stronger, but, as he grows is strength so does the Demon attached to him. It should make for some fun inner-turmoil.

I plan to play him as, always scratching himself (apparently the bonding ritual leaves the skin behind as greasy), talking to himself (since the demon actually talks in his mind) and being paranoid.

Any other ideas or suggestions?

Your kobold could be guilty of a major inferiority complex, think Kenneth Branagh from A Fish Called Wanda ("Don't call me stupid!") He's at the bottom of the monster food chain, essentially, given the power to show those people who formerly took him for a pathetic weakling. He should go out of his way to prove how powerful he is. Insanity, paranoia, insecurity, and spite are all common feelings for this little fella.

Make it a devil not a demon. I think you can rule zero the change for the flavor of it. This could really mix dorkknight23's inferiority complex with your original idea. Maybe the vision was what the devil thought the kolbold wanted but apon seeing his reluctency he switchs modes. The devil may still know/want the destructive outcome but is corruptive not demanding to the kolbold. When things get tough the devil makes sure that the kolbold make the "right" decision. He preys on the kolbold insecurities and uncertinties. The kolbold doesnt have to be stupid, he may know and resist the idea of following the road toward his vision, but the devil leads down a twisted path and you he can't allways see how these choices bring him closer to the goals of evil.

So there still get to be plenty of this termoil, where the devil whispers to the kolbold that he doesnt have to fear the ogers that look down on him, with his power he could humble the greatest of them, even reverse the roles of the kolbold slaves that they hold. You could even roll Will saves like those against a intelligent weapon to see if the devil forces controll. There is a bit of a Golem feel to this but yer charecters other side would bring some real power to the table to back up the personailty.
