Kruulus 09-05-05, 11:15 PM	See "who likes this build?" topic in Character Optimization for stats Kruulus is a half-elf orphan, mother died in childbirth, father never knew she was pregnent. Kruulus was adopted and raised by a gypsy tribe. When he was older he began to adventure, prefering the duel-weilding style, eventually becoming a dervish. He eventually found his father and joined the military under his command, meating his half brother (who was full human, a sorcerer, named Ufirvwo) in the process. After a grueling battle, kruulus was cursed with red eyes by a powerful mage. the reds eyes cause kruulus to see everything through a tint of red, which grows more red if he kills an innocent person (somehting he avoids anyways). thier father having died, kruulus and his brother left the military and joined forces with a halfing rogue, Tright, and an elf maiden favored soul, Anula. The adventured for many years togtehr and kruulus and anula eventually fell in love, and when she was powerful enough she was able to restore kruulus's eyes to normal. the 4 of them eventually started an adventuring guild known as the fox knights. Then on a summer night during which kruulus an anula were eloping a demon appeared and killed anula. kruulus was defeated but not killed. instead he was dragged through a mysterious mist and ended up on the feared plane of ravenloft. he awoke, captured by a psionic mad scientist experimenting with bizarre eye surgery (to what end, kruulus never discovered). the scientist read kruulus's mind and intrigued by his past red eyes decided to experiment. kruulus's eyes were taken out of his head and replaced with new eyes that acted as a cursed magic item. kruulus was able to escape with the help of a dwarf wizard and a gnome druid, who were also captured but never subjected to experiments. kruulus took great pleasure in killing the mad scientist. the three of them spend the next 4 years surviving ravenloft togteher. one day kruulus awoke in Union, not knowing how he had escaped ravenloft. in fact, he checked himself into a mental institution assuming that ravenloft was a big 4 year long delusional nightmare. after a wizard psyciatrist told him that ravebloft was in fact real, he then began to belive he was still in ravenloft and that this was the illusion. he eventually came to accept that he was off ravenloft and checked out of the institution. He returned to Fearun and was unable to find his brother or Tright, and heard rumors that the guild had disbanded a year and a half ago. now he seeks another adventuring group, looking to increase his skill.
Fithero 09-06-05, 03:46 AM	Pretty cool, whats with the eyes though? And my i ask, whats with everybody getting taken by this "mist" all of a sudden lately? It seems every 3rd character is disappearing in a little bad weather. Later

Kruulus 09-06-05, 01:15 PM	i always wanted this character to have red eyes... needed a way to bring that into the story. and "the mist" is the was you you get dragged into ravenloft. and to morka: well this character is starting at lvl 25 so i had to make a history and background that represented that much experiance.
