07-22-05, 01:57 AM Kyros Devanto, male CE Human Red Wizard Evoker. Taken from his parents at a young age he neither knows nor cares of his roots. All he knows is that power is a thing much to be desired. At the moment he can use the party to gain that power. As he acquires wealth and experience he seeks to attain a position of supremacy in the world. All will quake at the mention of his name. He sees the party as his personal retinue of bodyguards and lackeys, as is only befitting a person of his importance. He allows them the illusion of autonomy only to appease them; it is good for morale after all.

This is the back ground for my Thayain red wizard evoker. It was written by my DM after roll playing and veiwing our conduct and gives a good idea on how our campaign usaly runs (mostly evil campaign).

07-22-05, 11:45 AM He doesn't know about his parents and doesn't care... yet! It's a good plot hook for your DM to say: your parents were [INSERT NAME HERE], and you can take advantage of it.

You should also plan a mentor who taught him magic...

Also, if you're not playing in Thay, just think about a basic reason to be where you are.

07-23-05, 07:47 AM As a child i was taken from my parents to study under a powerfull red wizard evoker as an apprentice until i was old enough and strong enough to adventure out. I neither know nor care who my parents are, it does not fit into my plan of ultimate power.

Ahh... the good times with Edwin / Edwina.

I loved his ending story (truly one of the greatest). I wonder if your Red Wizard would follow the same path.

And if you don't know what I'm talking about, I hope your DM does (which would make him/her a deliciously evil DM indeed).

my red wizard is one of the funnest charectors i have played yet. I can really get into his charector and feel like he is more alive than any other i have played.
