There are some unusual languages out there that are usually out of a PC's ability to learn. Either you can't find someone that speaks it or those that do refuse to teach. The latter being the case for things like Druidic or Drow Sign. The former is more true for something like Aragrakh (Ancient High Wyrm). I run a dragonborn paladin and thought having Aragrakh might be useful as I'm going into epic levels and encounters with immortal dragons will be more common. My character doesn't know any loremasters and the few dragons that would know it that he's aware of are Bahamut and the BBEG of the game. Any suggestions on how to learn this?

If you're trying to find an in-character way to learn it, that brings up another question: Is your character even aware that the language exists? If so, how?

Whomever it is that teaches your character aboutAragrakh may be able to point you to a teacher of it, if they can't teach you themselves. Talk with your DM - you just might have a mini-arc in the making here.

The paladin heard it spoken a few times and the DM described it as an ancient form of draconic. The one speaking it was the BBEG.

Anybody in the party any good with Gather Information? If so, you could try asking around in some big cities. If you have a cleric (or a Seer psion), there are a variety of divinations that might be able to give you some hints.
