Thinking of making another character, for fun and functionality. He's a Planetouched (Aasimar) Paladin of Tyr, LG. I want to know if there's any specific feat available for him to take a greatsword in one hand (if not, then back to Oversized Weapon Proficiency) and a large steel shield in the other. He appears to be a grizzled old man in his 50's or so, but is actually much older (his outsider blood allows him a longer lifespan then normal humans). I'm thinking of naming him something like Berek Ironfist (name given by dwarves, for he had no name to speak of), with Berek the Righteous, Berek the Just, or Berek the Paladin as a title.

As for backstory, he was found by a patrol of dwarves laying naked on a mountainside after a thunderstorm, with nothing except a few memories and a Holy Symbol of Tyr around his neck. At this point, he appeared to be about 8 years old, and the dwarves wrapped him up and took him back to their underground keep. He was raised by a dwarven foster family, and learned the ways of the sword early on. The only thing he remembers of his past are a pair of smiling, serene faces, and a wall with the symbol of Tyr emblazoned onto it. He had a tremendous curiousity for the meaning of his holy symbol, which appears to be a large pendant made of white gold, with platinum filigree and designs. All the dwarves could tell him was that it was a symbol of the human god Tyr, for they cared not for the religions of the Tall Folk. Occasionally, young Berek would see images of angels and other celestial beings in his dreams, and he couldn't explain it at first (it was the Aasimar blood). One day, a wandering paladin stopped for supplies at the dwarven fortress, and saw the boy practicing the sword. He felt a holiness surrounding the boy, and saw that he wore only plain dwarven clothes, but, what's this, a pendant with Tyr's emblem! He petitioned the dwarves to let him take young Berek to a temple of Tyr, so he could train the boy and teach him the ways of the Just God. Berek agreed, saying goodbye to his Dwarven "family" and left with only the pendant, and some gifts from the dwarves (mithral platemail, mithral Greatsword, mithral shield, all of which were ruined a long time ago). He learned well, and quickly became favored because of his celestial blood, piousness, righteous attitude, and martial prowess. Now, he travels Faerun, helping those in need and preaching the faith of the Just God.

Description: Before you stands a grizzled old man in well worn yet well kept platemail. He has silver-grey hair and a beard, and piercing, sapphire blue eyes. He is tall, and despite his age, quite fit. His skin is like leather, hard from all the years of being a traveling champion of Tyr. He is very disciplined, and doesn't drink, smoke, wench, etc. His armor is worn, yet well polished, and it glitters in a shining platinum hue, with the symbol of Tyr emblazoned on it in different places. He wears a large, royal blue cloak, and a matching tunic under his armor.

Ok, that's all I got for now, and the above is just a work in progress. Tell me what you think, please!
