12-22-06, 12:14 AM my level 3 wizard wants to become a lich who will later be a demilich does anyone have the process for a wizard to become a lich and then a demilich? like all the components xp costs gold costs etc required

12-22-06, 02:23 AM I am currently playing a sorcerer demilich. They can get truly obscene.

To become a lich you must be Caster Level 11 and have the Craft Wondrous Item Feat. You must make your own phylactery which costs 120,000gp and 4,800xp.

Now liches can be fun but if you're shooting for true obscenity to the gods then there is no substitute for Demilich.

To become a demilich you must be a sorcerer, wizard, or cleric of at least
21st level and have the craft wondrous item feat. You must make a total of 8 soul gems each of which costs 120,000gp and 4,800xp. You must also choose a diminuitive portion of your original body to inhabit. You are now truly something obscene (I speak from experience of a 21st level demilich who's Trap the Soul DC is now 56).

12-25-06, 08:51 PM I will share a truly obscene tactic my lich uses.

There is a feat in Libris Mortis called Contagious Touch. It says that anyone who touches a victim of your paralyzing touch ability has to make the save themselves. So my lich has paralyzed a bag full of fleas and uses telekinesis to hurl the fleas at my enemies. At 15th level I can hurl 15 fleas 150ft. You there, make 15 fort saves or die (after paralyzed coup de grace).

If you want to be truly obscene with this (I didn't do this to maintain some semblance of balance) you can glue many fleas to a board or a piece of paper and hurl that board as a single object. You, make 200 fort saves or die.
