Looking for a musical motif/theme... [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-20-04, 12:09 PM I am playing a super epic campaign that's heading into it's 30th level. I began play as a vow of poverty LG monk for 23 levels in a fantasy setting. However I felt I wasn't playing true to the character and requested and worked with the DM to change him. As such I was timeslipped to the post apocalyptic world of the evil that was threating the world I had come from (the world of Fantasy). Their, unable to live by my vows (without the existence of the gods that supported them), I was captured and expermented on. I was turned into a morphic human with subtle psy powers (a 30th level Martial Savant, think Psychic Warrior based on skills rather then powers) focusing in non-linear time perseption, long distance sensory perseptions and Martial Unarmed/Gun combat. My morphic abilites and "enhanced" brain detach me from my humanity but I still recall that past where I was free to live by a "higher" moral code. I escaped my captors and am now racing to help my friends who now find themselves in a modern world, where they don't know where to cope.

The question is...anyone know a song that captures that? I was thinking some minstral ballad that grows into techno with a little eastern flare through out (maybe a sitar?)

10-20-04, 04:52 PM Try the band Sopor Aeternus. They have a kind of medieval-techno flair.
