| Galen-Leigh03-15-05, 07:08 PM | Any one know how to get Lycanthropy...and how the creature progresses? I'd love to play one :D |
| UMCPWintermute03-15-05, 08:39 PM | You get it by being bitten by a lycanthrope. The progression is in the Monster Manual. |
| AllistairAldred03-16-05, 01:00 AM | There is also such a thing as a natural lycanthrope, although right this moment i cant quote a book or a page...ill look through my books later, and edit this post. But as far as i know Natural lycathropes are not FORCED to change with the phases of the moon. |
| unusualsuspect03-16-05, 06:56 PM | Natural lycanthropes are in the monster manual as well. The difference between a natural lycanthrope and an afflicted one is spelled out, but essentially only a natural lycanthrope has control over his shapeshifting (and doesn't automatically get a screwed up alignment) to the point where the shift is at will, and doesn't involve skill checks or saves, AND a natural lycanthrope is the only lycanthrope which can spread lycanthropy. They also have DR 10/silver instead of 5/silver, if I remember correctly. |
