| Fithero12-23-06, 11:08 PM | I had another wizard... but he died in the first game... damn kobolds :( Anyway, so im starting again. This time im wanting to make a human wizard (either straight or transmuter) that goes into the Fleshwraper Prc. Basic idea is the whole Dr. Frankenstien (spelling?) concept, where he is gonna do some pretty dubious experiments in his attempts to either modify, or create life. He will be evil (in that he will go to pretty much any length to accomplish his goals) but he will fit fine into a good aligned group (finds saving the princess and helping to save the be-sieged town to be the right things to do). Just some of the experiments that he will try and work on are- -give creatures the ability to breath under water (give two goblins gill grafts... mate them... see if the gills pass onto the next generation) -capture the Tarrasque (spelling... you know... the big guy) and modify him to have wings, gills, breath flame... whatever... then of course he wants to take out his own brain and put it into the big guys body :P (This is obviously a long term goal :P) -replace the limbs of war victums (mabye not a limb of the same race... but who cares :P) Bascially its just a whole bunch of odd experiments that seem insane to others. He sees some of the lesser races (kobolds, goblins, orcs... gnomes :P) as expendable (little more than lab mice) and is willing to pretty much do anything to them) Any thoughts or comments? Anyone got any other crazy experiments he can try and use. peace (Oh yeah, just as a side not... he is willing to use liquid pain to off-set the vast amount of exp he will have to pay for his graftings :D) |

It's not necessarily that he likes going and killing off goblins, but it seems to be the fastest and most effecient way of getting things done; and therefore has no real problems with it. But he's not going out and actively doing this to the goblins out of spite for the goblins; so he's probably not evil. And what's his obsession with grafting and altering these creatures when Necromancy is right there in front of him? You'd have to have a good explanation for that in your background. Maybe he fears that the necromancy will corrupt him and hinder his goals (all the more reason for him to be lawful neutral instead of evil). Also, do you know the Craft Points system from Unearthed Arcana and the Ebberon Campaign Setting? Maybe talk your DM into having Graft Points! It would offset the XP costs (I think, I don't remember the intricacies of craft points offhand). You could maybe even have the grafting equivilent of the Artificer. I know I'd play that! :D |
