| Rudysseus01-27-06, 06:32 PM | I have a character that is Lawful Evil, but is a DM-sanctioned "mole" in the group, who is helping the good guys along to accomplish their mission. There is a paladin in the group that likes to use his detect evil to keep tabs on who is standing around him. I need to find some method (available to a level 8 character) to keep my alignment as hidden as I can, whether by a spell, item, etc. :schemes: |

That requires a 1st (bard) or 2nd (cleric) level spell every day, though. Or you could carry around a thin sheet of lead and hold it in front of yourself whenever the paladin's about to detect you. :shifty: One alternative might be to make up some reason why you detect as evil, even though you "aren't." "The wizard had armed all of his archers with evil-aligned arrows. They killed the hound archon, Azemel, that was leading us in that battle, though he fought with amazing valor and strength. I was wounded, and only spared because no one thought I was a serious enough target, yet I took three arrows. I recovered, but fragments and splinters of those vile arrowheads remain embedded in my flesh to this day, and ever since, those who could see good and evil have mistaken me for evil. Go ahead! Try detecting my alignment! I bet it will come up as evil!" Of course, telling tall tales might be a bit too chaotic for you. Not sure. |

(that means CN isnt more evil than N, your not closer to evil as CN) the three tree's is etirely different. so you cant say that a neutral character is less good than a good one. just more self interested, and less zealous if your paladin get whiny, convince the Dm to convert into ravenloft. bye bye paladin ^^ |
