It is as follows: Androcles, whose name means "glory of man", is a human from Chessenta (Faerun). The chaos of his homeland and his race is "unnatural," according to him, and he wants to end the wars and strife that has plagued the Realms. This task, he believes, rests solely upon his shoulders. There is no greater duty and no greater morality than this. He envisions a world like that of Plato's Republic, only federal, with him as this new realm's god. His first task is to increase his personal power so that he can begin to challenge the mighty lords of Chessenta. He believes that his task is for the good of humanity, but his true motivation is a lust for recognition and the power that brings. Does anyone see anything missing? |

Did you want help flushing him out or just to get a sense of people's reactions? While I know the Realms I don't think I've ever really looked over Chessenta that closely. |

Thanks, and if you do have ideas to flesh him out I'd be happy to hear 'em. Chessenta is a Greek/Persian-flavored area of warring city-states, briefly united under a red dragon in disguise. The Mulan, who form the majority ethnic group there, are rather ethnocentric. They see other cultures as okay, but the Mulan are the most creative, intelligent and powerful in the world. I think it serves well as a background for someone like Androcles. |
