| clovex07-06-05, 08:02 PM | so im playing this greek/muholandi pantheon cleric of time and trickery Aidianis was conceived by a egyptian female bard and a spartan warrior .The mother died while giving birth and the baby was given to the local temple of Isis, where it was raise by the priestesses(think that is the word). Those were the best times in his life until his seventh birthday came ,and in that very day his biological faher came to him and took him away to sparta ,where he was trained in the arts of war,the only thing he had left of his childhood was a special protective item given to him by his mothers ,wich he still has. As his childhood was joyfull and brief his trainig in the spartan ways was long and crude .Soon he had to resort to robery and deceit to survive those times in the militia.By the age of 19 during his time serving with the army, he got news of his father death ,with no lamentation for the death he took his father's goods and he runned away from sparta and has not since came back. He took full advantage of his new freedom and went to the arising city of alejandria where he studied the arts ofwarfare, astronomy, history, geography and he executed part time tasks in the local library and lighthouse. tell me what you think about it |

The child is the offspring of a Spartan warrior and an Egyptian female bard, you might want to come up with how this happened. Also, your character would have to have some significant reason for the Spartan father to come all the way to bring him from the temple of Isis. Therein lies the mystery! Why did the father go through all the trouble to foist the child from the temple? A secret that the charcter must discover? A hidden power? I am not sure if this helps but it immediately came to mind and to me it sounded so good. I hope it helps a little if any at all. Lord Kimbote BTNA |

| Need_A_Life07-07-05, 03:13 AM | Both new and old questions - Why did a spartan man and an egyptian woman decide to have a child? - Why did the father get you? - Why did the father wait to get you? - Why train you in the arts of war? - Why enlist you in the army against your will? - How do you feel about all of this? Resentment? Indifferent? - How do you feel about your childhood? - Do you favor your clerical training or the martial training you've received? - What type of his (chaotic) alignment is he? - What type of person would you say he is? - Where did you learn to read? (many temples just used mouth-to-ear method) - Why do you adventure? - Why trickery and time as your domains? [I don't exactly get a picture of Isis when I hear those.... (Loki, though)] |

(Loki, though)] -that my friend is under development rigth now -that is what I shall discover sooner or later (as going to talk it with my DM to include it inside the game ) - spartan training started at the age of 7 and ended around the age of 16.(historic fact)so when he found out he went down to egypt to get me started. -there was no decition, spartan citizens were forced to serve in the army. -I hate my father for taking me away from home ,putting me into training, never telling me who my mother really was.As for the trainig itself i suffered every minute of it,as it was really hard when I stole something and was cauhgt I got punished for stealing and twice as hard for getting caught.so i got really good at deceiving. - I dont never much about it .It was nice I was really taken care of ,I could say it was perfect all needs covered, lots of oasis to move around and be free .That is why i hated my training which was being forced to do things and kept in. -Of course I do as my clerical training comes from my childhood, thougth I was only able to use it little ago . -Im just the quintesential free spirit(CN) doing what ever I want ,cause the will never control my life like my father did. -I would say he is a relaxed person at first but as you get to know him you realise he is absesed with not taking advantage of his time so he is always in a hurry or triying for things he likes to last more.As into relations he has a friendly dont worry be happpy attitude(covering up his real unsureness and insecurities) wich is apealing to his companions, asuming they are not tigth asses. -He was thaugth gerogriphical writing by the priestesses,an earkier adventuring partner who he met while escaping sparta thaugth him greek and his master while in alejandria thaugth him infernal and celestial for him to be able to study some exotic tomes at the library. -I shall leave that for tomorrow because it is a long topic -I apologise for the mislead I am not an isis cleric i am a double pantheonic follower I believe all of them protect and empower me. |
