| Darkblade09-13-03, 07:10 PM | Greetings, I'm coming up with a character background set during WWII, and I'm having a little trouble. Here's what I've got so far: --from Athens, Greece --enlisted/commissioned in military --forced to retreat to Crete in face of invading German army At the beginning of the campaign, the character is to be recruited into a British special ops unit. My main question is how he's going to end up there. I had thought of something along the lines of that after his Greek unit is nearly destroyed, and then disbanded, he enlists with British supporters to continue the fight. Come to think of it, he's not really a resistance/guerilla fighter, but more of a person who fights to weaken the Germans and strike back at them for taking his country. Although that may not be enough, I'd like some more ideas, like more of a character background, and maybe what his job is in the military, etc. And although this departs from the usual Fantasy character, feel free to give it a go! Anything would be appreciated, thanks. |

If he isn't an infantryman, he could be a cook or something a bit out of the ordinary for a campaign like this...but he'd have to have some special knowledge to be wanted in a special ops unit- like the party is set to recon Athens or they need to get into a certain building he has been in, like a police station or theater, and he's called in. |
