A friend of mine is running a game for me and a few other friends.
My character is a Mohrg (using the Libris Mortis monster class). He used to be a mass murderer in life, along with another person, a dread necromancer also in the group.
I was thinking.
A. Now that he's a Mohrg, what should his new name be? I decided he's going to have a new name, I don't know what it is.
B. In my roleplaying, how do I convey a sense of real horror to the other players. I tend to stutter a lot, so how do I still do the horror thing?

A- You culd have his name be a word in Latin. For instance, if my memory serves me, Caedo is the word for serial killer. You can find these by googling latin translators.

B- If the other players can't get around your stutter to what your actual saying, their loss. You could also have him not speak often, and mostly point, or make ominous gestures.

This is funny, as I actually DMed for exactly the same combination of mohrg/dread necromancer. In my group, the mohrg was a tragic killer, having killed disproportionately for vengeance, and the dread necromancer gave him a chance to take revenge on the living. His name was some combination of Greek words: Necro (for death) and some other word for slayer or something (I can't remember sorry). You could invoke horror by killing in particularly gruesome ways, taking pleasure in the pain of the victims, and play the mohrg as cruel as possible. You might even take Intimidate and, using the torture rules from Book of Vile Darkness, insist on being the party's interrogator.
Have fun!

A mohrg PC, huh? Well that's one I haven't heard of until now. ;)

The mohrg is such a specifically created monster that you don't have a whole lot of ways to make one special background-wise, aside from particularly interesting ways of killing people... but since you're a PC, you can have the fun of actually giving him some class levels. Imagine how scary a mohrg barbarian would be?

While we're on the subject... please, can someone explain what that fleshy parasite lookin' thing is? What with the little tentacle/mouth looking parts that extend along the skeletal arms and through the mouth. Not a single source I have found actually explains the nature of that.

Well, I haven't played many undead characters, actually only once I was a human skeleton fighter. Now, however I play as Hortax Doomclaw, the flesh golem. I just have one advice: First of all you can take a really evil-sounding word such as dread. Then you can alter the word so that it sounds good in your ear. You may even combine evil words to create good names, such as Drogor or Drendar. Good name hunting!

The fleshy thing is a tongue the mohrg uses to paralyze people. No idea where it comes from.
