| land_salmon12-11-06, 07:01 PM | So I made this thread for people to make the strangest but reasonable storyline for their characters they will be using later on or one they already have. Heres mine (This was in the campaign, main PC group was in defending army) Seyak CN Yuan-Ti Pureblood He was born with a human dad and Halfblood mother. For the first few years he studied religeon of Merrshaullk and combat expertise. When he became 12 he was drafted into the Yuan-Ti royal army as a Crusader of the Divine Rights of Merrshaullk to invade a desert outpost. He was commanding a cavalry of Canisphinx to sweep the main forces off there feat. The forces deployed a squadron of pikemen who were greatly killing off the cavalry. He was one of the unlucky ones who flew off his mount and took a deep 121 foot drop and fell cracking his neck. With lack of a crusader the Yuan-Ti fled and left Seyak with his mount, Ankhi. He was a few hours later the PCs found him and used him as a guide (they still are) to get to the Yuan-Ti kingdom. He is slyly misleading them into a sandpool and the DM thinks this should be what happens (lack of campaign...) and they eventually find out im doing this and a battle between them and me takes place. This is what is happening right now. Ill be waiting for other storys for a while..... Yeah cya |
| TroubleWolf12-12-06, 11:16 AM | My character Krank was a half-orc barbarian. He was walking through the forest near his home one day when he was attacked by a gang of goblins. He fought valiantly, but in the end there were too many. Just before he lost consciousness, there was a loud whistling sound, and then one of the goblins was hit by something that fell from the sky. The others fled, and Krank passed out with his head resting on this strange object. He dreamed that this egg-shaped, football-sized rock that fell from the sky held a god inside of it; a new god with no worshippers. The god wanted Krank to be his champion in the realms. When he awoke, Krank picked up the egg and walked away from his tribe and into human lands. He paid to have the rock surrounded with metal bands and spikes, then had the whole thing attached to a heavy chain that he attached to his wrist. In this way, Krank always had his Holy Symbol with him, and he used it, quite literally, to smite his god's foes. Krank only had Barbarian levels. He had a 6 Intelligence. He was more than a little insane. He called himself a Paladin of EGG, and Intimidated people into worshipping the rock. EGG was treated as a Heavy Flail with locked gauntlets. The character was a blast to play. Unfortunately, the campaign was Living Greyhawk, and we only played about 4 sessions. :( |
| Apupunchau12-12-06, 12:17 PM | I'm playing in an ebberon campaign right now and my character is effectively a Samoan halfling. PLease don't mind spelling and grammar errors I'm at work and the computer limits what I can do and their is no word processing program on it so typing is a pain in the ass. Ekmo Fatu Sirensong Halfling Ranger 5/Animal Lord (ape) 1 Companion: Toma 5 hd Small Sized Capuchin Monkey Before the humans came to Khoravaire the halflings spread out across the land. Some halfings even made it to the coast and were some of the first to meet the humans who had tane to travelling the seas. The first humans were friendly but as is the case with human society the bad sometimes follows the good. The second wave of humans included people willing to enslave the halflings as servants or kill them outright for their land. The coastal halflings looked to the ocean and realized that if th tall folk came from out thiere their must be other lands. The halflings built their own longboats and set out to find a new land. After travelling for many days the halfling group came an uncharted island chain that seemed perfectly habitable and with no other sentient creatures occupying it, it seemed like the perfect home for the halflings. The first year went well and the halflings lived their tribal lives. It wasn't untill their first summer that trouble began. It appeared that one of the many the natural coves on the island chain was a season spot for sirens. The first year many halflings fell to the sirens call and the tribe almost colapsed but not for the halfings natural cunning. The sirens became the natural emeies of the halfling tribe and in the years to come the two groups would battle every summer the sirens came to the cove. Over generations the halflings evolved putting on weight from the fatten boar and fish they ate and growing darker in pigmentation in the sun. One of their oddest adaptations and one integral to their survival was their non verbal commincation, the halflings could speak to each other telepathically as not to attract the attentnion of the sirens. (Basically they are Ghostwise Halfings from the forgotten realms book but htey needed a good backstory and adaptation to the ebberon cmapaign setting and are now called Sirenscall Halflings) Generation went by and the halflings hadn't seen any one but themselves and the sirens until one day after a heavy storm a ship took cover in the islands natural cove. The crew spent a few days making repairs and resuppling while the halfings hid. One curious halfing approached the ship much to the suprise of the crew who didn't think the island was inhabited. It took awhile for the few crewmen who even spoke the halfing language to decipher the strange dialect spoken by the young halfling but after a day or so the halfling had become the cres new mascot of sorts. When the ship was finally repaired the halfing asked the captain if he could join the crew and for the first time one of the sirenscall halflings was leaving the island. Ekmo crewed a lyrandar ship for years sailing the seas and climbing the riggings as the spotter in the crows nest. In one port off Q'barra Ekmo found a small and sickly looking capuchin monkey being sold by merchant as a curiosity. Young Ekmo felt the trapped simians pain and used some of the buables (gems) he had to pay for the monkey. With Ekmo's care the monkey grew and grew and grew from the tiny sickly monkey he was to almsot the same size of the halfling. Ekmo has most recently been reunited with the captain of the ship that took him from his island home and is currently getting into mischief in storm home as he waits for the new ship to set sail. Personality Ekmo seems to be a quite and reserved person in truth he is like most halflings full of joy and playfulness, he is just afraid to show it. Ekmo generaly seems stren and focused as his monkey companion TOma pulls of the mischief that he would like to. Ekmo harldy ever speaks and will barely even communicate through his telepathy until he gets to know some one. Ekmo may not make friends easily because of his demeanor but once he does he is a loyal and true friend. Appearance Ekmo is actually short for a halfling standing at only 2' 6" and he is significantly heavier then most halfings weighing nearly 40lbs. Although he is definately heavy he still moves with a grace the belies his size. Ekmo wears only a floral patterned sarong nad some jelwery although his entire upper body and face are covred in tribal tattoos. Ekmo has a pieced tongue , a pierced nose and more than a dozen ear pericings. His jewlery includes a helix shaped ccopper ring (ring of protection), a copper torque (amulet of natural armor) and a number of copper armbands all connected by another band (Bracers of Armor) |
| Adolph_Kheebler12-13-06, 02:28 AM | I'm currently playing a duskling totemist/barbarian/totem rager named Ungnark. He is the shaman/prophet/"god" of his quite barbaric tribe deep in the forest. He is the only incarnum/magic/psionic/anything else supernatural user in the tribe and is thus treated as a god. He is worshipped as a god of animals (appropriate for a totemist). Unfortuately he has an INT of 6 and really believes he is a god. When he joined the party he couldn't comprehend why the other party members weren't bowing to him and belching loudly in his face (an affectation of great respect in his tribe). He finally managed to reason this by promptly deciding that they were all gods too. The CN kineticist/pyrokineticist is now "Evil Dark God". The Druid/Ranger is now "plant god" or "nature god". The halfling rogue is somewhat confusing to him. He hasn't decided whether she is "little midget god" or "child god". And the Cleric of Pelor/Radiant Servant of Pelor is now "life god" (something she seems to take great offense at). |
