I'm a DM looking for flavorful Characters as NPC's for a gladiator fight. level builds would be nice, but not nessicary. I am very open ended about this, but one core requirement is No Psionics, and a second is 15th level (perfered exactly, but lesser is fine). I am especially looking for names, discriptions (including quirks), but Class levels are nessicary...

(no pun puns, or ominpotent forces, thank you)

Thank You!

Just a DMing suggestion.. are you sure you want them to be 15th level? Thats, like.. really really high.

*shrug*

Anyway, can you give us more information about the games? Are the matches lethal, or for sport? Are there stars who get special treatment (allowed to bend the rules, fight against weakened or inferior opponets, etc)? Going on the assumption that 15th level characters don't grow on trees in your world, these are probably pampered celebrities who don't really stand a significant chance of dying in every match.

I featured a gladiator-style spectator sport in a game I ran a few years ago. The adventure was very brief and revolved around the "behind the scenes" part of the arena, but I still made some NPCs anyway. There were three 'celebrity' fighters that were basicly guarenteed of winning their matches, as they mostly fought criminals, prisoners of war and anyone else the wealthy nobles wanted to get rid of (murder isn't so scandalous when its done in front of five thousand cheering peasants and labeled "sport"). The three would occasionally have matches against each other, but these were usually scripted and never resulted in critical injury (much like wrestling today).

The there warriors included a centaur who had been captured as an infant and sold into slavery. Raised in the arena, he has no connection to nature at all, and is torn between his success in the arena, and his longing to be with his own kind.

Another was a human fighter who was basicly in it for the chicks. lol In the scripted parts, he was always the one who was "the bad guy" one moment, and then redeemed himself just at the right moment. The audience eats up the hot and cold game, and it keeps the fighter in the public eye.

The last warrior was a female spellcaster who disguised herself as a male minotaur via illusions. She kept herself largely protected from harm thanks to her magic, and relied on illusions for blood and gore. Because she could easily fake her own death in the arena, she was often asked to play "villain" characters who could be killed off in the plotline. She resented this, and hatched a plot to kill the manager who came up with the scripted plots. Solving the mystery was actually the adventure for the PCs.

Anyway, you're welcome to use those ideas. Hope that was some help!
