little black bill 08-24-03, 05:11 PM	I was wondering if anyone could help me with my character background i have no idea what to do for him. heres his stuff: Okay i found my Character sheet here goes. Hes a Dwarf hes chaotic Nuetral hes medium hes 7th lvl hes 4'2'' hes got brown eyes hes got black black hair he worships heironeous hes 52 years old hes a lycanthrope werebear he turned into one while searching a werebear for claws. (dont ask) he has 94 hp his ac is 15 his initiative is 7 his stats are str 17 mod 3 dex 16 mod 3 con 16 mod 3 int 15 mod 2 wis 15 mod2 cha 13 mod 1 his base attack is +7/+2 his fort save is 14 reflex 11 will 10 his melee is 10 ranged 10 he has a dwarven waraxe 1d10 critx3 15lb slashing med size a light crossbow(for no reason) 1d8+2 crit x2 80ft he has no armor(destroyed when he turned to a bear.) a large wooden shield ac+2 10lbs spell failure 15% he has 36 arrows no crossbow bolts. his speed is 20ft armor check -2 his best skills are bluff +11 disguise +11 pick pocket or sleight of hands +6 his feats are weapon focus dwarven waraxe weapon focus light crossbow weapon speacilization light crossbow expert marksman improved called shot toughness he has the ability to make called shots with melee weapons. he speaks common dwarven and goblin he burnt down a whole city once and owed them 200,000 pp not a typo. he paid it off. he owns a ring of 5 speacil gemmed keys a dark red mongoose talisman 1 dragon claw a statue of a man fighting a dragon gemmed 50lbs cold weather outfit 2 shortbows a disguise kit and a map case he has 303 cp 303sp 225,558 gp and 22 pp (lol) his light load is 86lb medium load 87-173lbs and heavy load is 174lb-260lb he can lift ove his head 174-260lb lift off ground 520lbs and drag or push 1,300lbs. He's seventh level, I see that, but i don't see what he's level seven in! :invasion: lol, I was just so darn proud of myself that I noticed that
Edymnion 08-25-03, 02:44 PM	Okay, ignoring what I find to be wrong or just downright broken (called shots? :nonono: ) which would just be my opinion, since I have no idea what your house rules are or how it works for your game, and ignoring the rather ludicrous background (which if you don't have a personality yet you can't possibly have played him through all that), I'll just stick to a boards answer. The Character Development board is here to help users fine tune their characters, get ideas for characters, and discuss things related to character develpment. It isn't intended to be a "Input stats, Output character" sort of thing. You really need to make up at least the basic personality of your character on your own. At the very least, come up with several differant ideas on your own that you like, and as for our opinions and/or help refining them. People here typically aren't going to make your character for you for two big reasons. 1) Its your character, you are the one thats going to be playing it, you are the one that knows all their weird quirks, you need to do what will make you happy to play it. We don't know you, what you like, or anything else, so we can't really make a character you would like as easily as you seem to think. 2) Its a lot of work. I know when I come up with a new character to play, I typically spend a week to a month ironing out personality bits. I'd be happy to help you make your character's personality, but I'm not going to do it for you. Thats part of your game, its something you have to do. If you really want a premade character, talk to your DM, and have him/her make one up for you that will fit into the campaign world. As is, anything we might say stands a very good chance of not fitting into your game world, which is a bad thing.
little black bill 08-25-03, 09:09 PM	He's a fighter. And yes our house rules sometimes get on the insane side. i got called shots feet from the qunitesential fighter. I'll post back later a few character quirks and stuff bout my character.

I agree with Edymnion that you need to provide the germ of an idea in order to allow people to make suggestions for role-playing, character history, descriptions, etc. On this board, posts usually fall into the following category: [list=1] Come up with a character background for me (no details supplied!) Come up with a character background based on these stats Come up with a character background based on this concept Here's my 20 page character background, what do you think? [/list=1] Numbers 1 and 2 really make it difficult for the readers to respond in a meaningful way. So, think about some of the following, and put down at least some ideas to give the Char.Dev crew a chance: [list=1] What is your characters role in life Where do they come from Why aren't they still there? Why are they adventuring? What special feature makes them invaluable to the group? What dark secret might they harbour? What is their aim in life? etc... [/list=1] It is possible to write pages of these sorts of questions, but you only need to answer a few to get started. Good luck with it.
little black bill 08-28-03, 11:37 AM	kay heres a few things i made up based on past games with my char, he strokes his beard when he's deep in thought. His aim in life is to destroy the dragon who killed his best friend(who used to be another char i played) and he doesnt hate but doesnt really like elves. The darkest piont in his past is when he burned down a whole city, no one killed but 220,00pp in damages:) And his best point in life was saving his rescuing a blind man from being killed(hey he's not the nicest person but he kan do a good deed every once in a while. his favorite things to do are killing stuff and playing pranks on his fellow party members and of course getting drunk. and his least favorite thing is when the stupid party ranger who couldnt hit a house with his bow standng next to it.#of times hit by own party members 5 dmage 103. secret plans to rule the world so far: take the rangers bow and snap it in half and destroy hell.
