I have played in a couple of one runs for 3.x but nothing that could be called a campaign. That is about to change and I have decided to play a Human Wizard.

Background Points

1.) Orphaned only child of a Potter and Sheperdess

2.) Parents Killed by fire saved by the fact that his sleeping cubby was behind the kiln

3.) escaped by widening a rat whole (the rat later to become his familiar)

4.) Town is protected by a Wizard who asks for an Apprentice of his choosing once every 10 years as payment.

5.) Lives on the street with the rat and ocassional contact with a juvenile delinquint(the rogue of the party)

6.) The Wizard selects him over all the dandied up hopefuls and he takes to magic like a fish to water.

I have chosen the feats of Spell Casting Prodigy and Precocious Apprentice

stats are as follows

STR: 12
DEX: 16
CON: 14
INT: 18
WIS: 12
CHA: 10

He found the familiar in the ashes of his burned down house and named her "cinder". His name is Malachai "Lastnamehere".

Basically I am looking for advice on a good name for the Wizard who took him in. He is a batty old guy who calls himself "Blank" The Something or Other, He thinks that it misleads his enemies. Basically I need a name for a crazy old coot and a last name for our hero. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
