| Reverend_Chaos06-19-03, 05:00 PM | My halfling rogue, Willoby, botched a house robbery and was seen by the town guard. Not a big problem, but the group's Paladin also saw me. To make a long story short, to keep out of jail and having to pay for the house that I may have burned down in my frantic efforts to escape, I had to become the Paladin's squire for the term of one year. This is not a problem, as we are currently in an alternate plane of existence, many years in the past, so once we go home, more than a year will have passed (hehe). But in the meantime, I have to do all the squirely duties. Any ideas on pranks that I can play? One of the other players suggested putting a thuderstone on the tip of his lance. Any other ideas? |

| ShadeGirl06-19-03, 10:42 PM | That sounds like great roleplaying in your group. Do you have access to his food? Maybe a good laxative could play a role if you do...hehehe. |

As a squire you would be allowed to wear your "knight's" coat of arms, there are many possiablites for that one. Annouce him as you come into wearing a surcoat with a chicken with its head cut off running away, the classic smily face, a skull and cross bones *pirate paladin*:D with these you can mess around with him to the whole town. "Make way for the great and gracious Lord _____ Dread Pirate of the Seven Seas!" something to give him a good and rather odd scare, buy (or steal) a sword hilt to match that of the paladin but flowers in the hilt and switch the paladin's sword with his real one. But this really works if he keeps his sword in a scabard but could have some amussing pay offs. This is all i can come up with right now but if i get any other ideas i'll post em |
| Yruc06-21-03, 09:40 AM | Does he make you sharpen his blade? Get a dagger with a matching handle and next morning when he asks for his sword, hand him the dagger and say, hope its sharp enough now! Put a cow bell on his mount that can only be removed by cancel magic or put some bells on his armor with sovern glue ) Carve your name / initials into his armor / weapons Cut the saddle strap on his mount about 3/4 of the way through and have DM roll for it to break every so often. Fleas ) Mounts blanket and put some in paladin's armor. Replace his holy water with unholy water or just plain water. Acidently drop 1 piece of the paladin's armor down a cliff, raging river, middle of a pond/lake ;b while cleaning it. Place a contengency spell on a peice of armor that when the paladin says his god's name it casts darkness ) Dried dye inside armor, what ever color you want.. red, yellow, pink, green etc.. when he sweats it will add moisture to the dye and color the paladin's skin and he wont know till he takes his armor off that night and is glowing yellow. check out the other topic Tricks and Pranks (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=47070) edit: just thought of another. I am really new to D&D but is there way to get an item (something small like a pebble and hide it in the paladin's gear either on mout or what he carries, or maybe a piece of the Paladin's armor) enchanted, for when the paladin tries to detect evil, it shows himself or his mount? |

| Reverend_Chaos06-24-03, 12:29 AM | They have to catch me first. Slippers of spider climb and a ring of feather fall come in REALLY handy when trying to get away from an NPC. I need wings of flying or something though also. I also have my escape artist cranked way up, so if someone does catch me, I don't have to beat a strength check. |
