But, if you want character development/roleplaying advice, you came to the right place. With regards to your story (just my humble opinion, you may take it or leave it as you like): I don't know how you plan on playing this character, but, I don't really understand why you're character starts out NE and becomes CG (the change happens a little too suddenly the way you wrote it to make sense from a development standpoint.) He starts out torturing people but, I guess, love changes him? That's a little cliché, to be honest, and I don't think it's really all that justified in his story (particularly the bitterness/angriness.) Also, this "sometimes he has evil outbursts and sometimes he doesn't" business sounds an awful lot like Chaotic Neutral. What exactly makes him good? He could be a Chaotic Neutral character trying to clean up his act, moving towards CG, even then, the jump from NE to CN is still a pretty big jump (one towards neutral and one towards chaotic [as compared to two towards good and one towards chaotic,]) it's difficult to roleplay more than one leap in alignment at a time. I don't really get what you're trying to play (or what idea you have for this character,) other than the "redeemed villain" or a vaguely anti-heroic archetype. But, if that's what you want to play, good luck.
