Naruto in D&D? [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-21-07, 09:02 PM ok, so i'm a big D&D fan and have been scowering my books, but i'm new to the whole Naruto anime. I'd like to try to avoid going into psionics for ease of my DMs sanity, but any suggestions on feats for his physical abilities and possibly his ability to focus energy for physical improvement.

I won't go deep into CO stuff here, but you're going to need Arcane Duelist 10 just to get the clones.

I'd guess a Wizard/AD with nothing but touch attacks.

02-23-07, 05:46 PM Yeah, in general, if they're not Psionic, they're not gonna represent them right. That, and if they're going to accurately represent Naruto characters, well, they need to be, like, level 16-20 just to have genin-level abilities. All of those builds are by far the best way to represent them in DnD forms. And btw, Psionics are hardly a headache. I find them much simpler than basic spellcasting. I much prefer an MP meter (effectively, that's what it is) over deciding exactly which spells, and recording which slots have been used.

Anyways, yeah, sorry for ranting. Those psionic builds are the best you're gonna get.

Yes, it's good, but there are some problems with it still.
The time it takes to learn jutsu is ludicrous. And the amount of chakra a character has as he progresses from level 1 to 20 is out of sync- and it's too heavily ability based. Don't even get me started on hitpoint-to-chakra conversion.
My friends and I ended up having to rewrite alot of it to make it semi-balanced.
Also, they redundantly add "no-jutsu" every time they mention one. It would be like saying "-spell" after every spell in dnd. I think the entire document has 8 pages of no-jutsu, totally erroneous.
But it's a good start.:)
