In my current campaign I am playing a NG human wizard necromancer. My backstory includes abusive parents, a long life of drinking myself to death, an enslaved master (mind captured by evil guys), and I raise the bodies of evil people as punishment for their earthly transgressions. He is loyal to all who trust him but hates most authoritarian powers (churches and controlling governments).
I really feel as if this character is lacking something. If you want a more detailed backstory, just ask.
Also if anyone can come up with some good quotes, I would love that.
Thanks.

Did he actually drink himself to death? If he did, how did he come back? I would also like to know more about the enslaved master.

Quotes
When i say death is not enough...i mean it.

I'm just boning up on my spells.

If you do that you will be mortified.

i'm dying to find out what happens to you.

Surrender - face it dead or alive you're coming with me.

This is a matter of grave concern

He's really in the process of drinking himself to death as he is a serious alcoholic. So much that he'd probably die if he stops drinking for too long (vitamen D is provided by the alcohol and his body has stopped producing it, therefore he would have seizures and die).
His master was a necromancer with the same philosophy and was quite powerful. Then he tracked down a stereotypical servant of darkness and fought it after sending me to gather herbs. I come back and my masters soul has been drained and his mind captured so he has become a living zombie: he retains all life training (i.e. he's still a powerful wizard) but he is controlled by the evil guy who drained his soul. I tried to follow but I lost consciousness after 3 solid days travel with little food or water, and thats how I find myself in the 'starting village' (sounds like an MMO)
hope you like it :D
