Plz tell me RIGHT NOW if there has been a thread on this. now to the good stuff. This ranger i find works well in all sorts of situations, he can fight, use diplomacy, and rake in the cash. (srry, but u gotta rely on the cleric to heal ya for this one) First, go up about 6-8 levels on ranger, just enough so you can get some good spells, and cool feats. As you're race stay as either human or elf preferably elf, cause of the dex bonus. Now for stats: STR 14-16 is good DEX as high as you can get it! CON only about 13-16 really INT try and keep it really high like dex WIS just enough for spells CHA at least have +1 modifier Feats: mobility, dodge, ambidexterity, and then w/e other ones you would seem right for him/her. make sure you have 5 ranks in tumble and perform too. At about lvl 6,7, or 8, you cross class into a duelist. A duelist gives some awsome bonuses. If u get enough ranks into tumble and jump, enemies will find it hard to get you as your flying around them all the time. It gives you a bonus to reflex saving through, and keeps your base attack bonus well too. U get canny def at first lvl, which makes it add your intelligence mod to your AC, that's y u need the high intel. at second lvl duelist you get precise strike which allows you to add extra dmg to your attack if u use a 1 hand piercing wep. These are the main good things for em, but there are others. After you get to lvl 10 with this, max out the ranger class, and start on some wizard for some cool spells. NOTE: This is a build for role-playing characters, not online, but with classic D&D style. I have never played the online game, so I don;t know if you even get duelist class. this thread is stirctly for those poor souls who can't seem to get a good build on a campaign. plz drop this thread if it's stupid |
