Need a Background for a Jermlaine Druid [Archive] - Wizards Community

[Hey guys, I'm pretty new to the Character Development boards, but I'm looking for some help and I believe this is the place to look.]

I'm creating a character for an upcoming campaign. The character is a NG [Exalted] Old Jermlaine Monk1/Druid7/Saint2/Druid10 fully progressed. However, I'll be starting the campaign at Monk1.

So more specifically here's what I am thinking for my character's personality and background. His name is Gnimsh (just Gnimsh). He is a one foot tall rather dirty, old man. He would serve mostly as the comic relief of the group through his "senility" and aged humor. Saying I am starting at level 1, and I will be mostly useless at early levels, he'll be pretty cowardice in fights and often hide behind his Dire Rat animal companion. He is going to become a Saint as per the template (however hold no real standing inside any churches). Also he'll be taking Vow of Poverty at level 1. I need a background story on why I am a Monk1 and why I am not further progressing monk and opting to instead take druid levels. Also, saying the GM hasn't specified which campaign we will be playing, it would be good if it was a campaign-inspecific background.

Thanks in advance.
