| peterson12-16-03, 12:57 PM | Currently the DM and me put together a new type of divine casting class - inspired heavily by the Oriental Adventures book - that focuses mainly on "summoning" the elements: Earth, Wind, Fire, and Air. What we need, actually what I need in order to have him approve it, is a class name - so far I've got the lame "Elemental Caster" and always famous "Four Paths Interwined" for class names....I need help! Any and ALL suggestions will be appreciated immensely, and if you need more information about the class, just let me know. Thanks in advance, Peterson (One more Pappyism due to fond RPG memories: "Uncle Luc was fond of telling me, Pappy, there is no such thing as a good thing. Unless its whiskey. Or redheads. Or money. Or even a really big gun with lots of ammo and state-of-the-art optics. Hell Pappy, if you're drunk, rich, armed, and satisfied, there ain't no such thing as a bad thing!" |
| Dragonsbane131312-16-03, 06:50 PM | Elementalist. |
| peterson12-26-03, 05:03 PM | But anybody else willing to offer a suggestion? |
| Sapper12-26-03, 08:44 PM | channeler |
| Boxphet12-27-03, 05:43 AM | Divine Elementalist or Planar Binder or Divine Matter Channeler |
| peterson12-27-03, 10:39 AM | Channeler is sounding good. Thanks for all your suggestions and if you want, keep them coming! Peterson |
| TheMightyMcClaw12-29-03, 09:57 AM | Geomancer, also. Even if it's already a prestige class, it's a little bit sexier sounding than "divine matter channeler." (besides, they've made new prestige classes with the same name as old ones - why not make a new core class with the same name as an old prestige class?) |
| iamtheholymolyman12-29-03, 05:18 PM | how about....... Elemental Disciple or Disciple of the Elements. |
| iamtheholymolyman12-29-03, 05:18 PM | how about....... Elemental Disciple or Disciple of the Elements. |
| iamtheholymolyman12-29-03, 05:19 PM | sorry about the double post |
| Laranis Callirr12-30-03, 12:16 PM | Conjurer of Elements? Boxphet's Divine Elementalist was also something I was thinking of. |
| peterson12-30-03, 01:34 PM | Okay - I like a lot of these, but what I think I'm going for is Element of the Divine for a name, especially since he uses Divine spells and has chosen Earth as his "favored" element. Again folks, thank you for your feedback. Wonderful, simply wonderful. Peterson |
