He's very unique and I'll ask the DM if he can have unique feats and charictaristics, but I know how lame is it when a friend starts showing off and getting all arrogant so I'd like advice. So... his backstory is that's he's from a desert nation called Durisuss that was rulled by a benevolent king until a rogue general killed him and took over. The general (let's call him Hassan until i get a decent name) put together barbarian forces made of humans and half orcs to root out towns loyal to the old king. My Character (Kane Savej) was 15 years old in one of those towns and all kind of chaos happens. His family is killed, his home burned, he has to hide in nasty places (think Behind Enemy Lines). He escapes into the desert and no one sees or hears from him for 2 years. So he comes out into a town with the alias Diamondback and he's absolutely :looloo:. He's unpredictable, erratic, and quiet. He's heartless but not overtly evil (his alignment is is N-E because he just doesnt care about anyone). Hence the problems. My DM seems to like the idea of such a rich story. I plan to have Hassan and his lackies harass him for reasons DB won't tell his teammates. the first idea is for him to have a natural resistance to Intimidate, Diplomacy and other skills to be determined by the DM to go easy on my group. The idea is that's he's absolutely ferral, so something like low-light vision would be appropriate. He's also 6'5" and about 200 pounds so possibly a bonus on intimidate checks. Any more ideas and corrections would be very helpful to me. |

Why would he team up with anyone? Mechanistically: You could just give him ranks in the appropriate skills. (What class would he be?) Also, afaik, physical strength/bigness doesn't count for intimidate in DnD. As I see it, you have to know how to use your strength effectively for intimidating, else you're just a big brute, hence the char basis for intimidate. :) Does that help? :) |
