Need help creating a little flavor. [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-16-05, 04:52 PM Well we have always played really low level campaigns as our DM usually retires our characters when they reach lvl 12 however he finally decided to have us play an epic campaign. He had everyone create their characters at lvl 20 and the one thing I always wanted to play was a lich so I went ahead and took the LA for it. Anyways I am a Gray Elf Lich who has 6 levels in sorcerer and 10 levels in pale master and we are playing in a modified Darksun campaign just before the clensing and I need to create a background for the character. Looking for some help on this one.

12-17-05, 08:01 PM Not an expert on Darksun or pale masters (they have something to do with undead, right?), but I'll give it a shot.
RGN was once a charming young Gray elf with a talent for magic. His parents were a bit disappointed when he became a socerer instead of a wizard like his forefathers, but few could agree with his power and skill. He became quite a hero to the local people with his defeat of a vampire and her spawn. Unfortunatly, he became obsessed with the undead at that point and became a pale master. He desided to gain ultimate power would require unlife, and set about to find a lich and steal his secrets. It was an epic dungeon crawl and an epic battle, but in the end RGN triumpeted and learned the neccisary rituals and spells. Was a bit disapponted in end result. Since then he's been traveling looking for true ultimate power.

Playing: throw in some old old english words, misses being able taste, feel, etc. Pities the short lived creatures. Takes his time, he's in no hurry. His phylactory... Phylit... soul storing thing is a necklace of natural armor +1, not neccisarily on him.

12-18-05, 01:55 PM Thanks that is along to lines of what I was thinking so I think I am going to develope a nice story around that scenerio. I appreciate the help.
