Hey all. Need some help with my elven paladin. First, I need to know what's "lion-hearted" in elven. Tolkien elven is fine (excuse my ignorance if D&D elven and LotR elven is the same).

Next, I need an explanation as to why my elf became a paladin since elves don't often turn into paladins due to their chaotic nature. All suggestions welcomed.

Quenya: The word for courage is "Huore". IIRC, to use it as a name, would be "Huor" for male and "Huore" for female. Also, try "Ravenne"--"Lioness", and "Huoril"--"Lover of Courage" (masc.).

For Sindarin endings: The word for lion is "raw" and for "heart", "emel". So "Emelraw", or "Emelravon" ("-on" for "made of"; i.e., "heart made of a lion"). For male names, end in "-os" and female names end in "-il"; so "Emelravos" and "Emelravil". (notice the W change to V in the middle of the words).

Generally, Sindarin is the common elvish tongue, and Quenya is kind of like our Latin, used for formal poetry, writing, etc., and quite possibly for naming.

Take your pick.

As for a lawful elf: Elves tend towards chaos, true; but the tendency is slight. Remember that elves also make good wizards, and wizards are often lawful because of the discipline required to study those spells. Your elf is simply atypical, just like the lawful elven wizard.
