prebziah 08-08-05, 11:55 AM	we start at level 1, we're slaves for dwarves. we're humans, and we dont meen a dint. My character got a brother (a barberian, very stupid), and we fills each other out. MY guy is very smart but not very strong. please help! thanks in advance

braindead345 08-09-05, 12:58 AM	First off, lets work on the slave issues. How did you become slaves (captured in a war or were you born to slaves)? What kind of dwarf owns a slave? What kind of duties were you forced to perform (this one can be crutial for developing your starting skills)? How did you escape or earn your freedom? Any friends, allies, love interests, or important people in your life as a slave (apart from your brother)? How are slaves identified as such (did you have to wear chains or were you branded like cattle or something else)? How did you earn your starting gold? Finally, think about why you are so much smarter than your brother. Was he struck on the head as a child? Were you given special training by your master? Did your parents teach you? If so, why didn't they teach your brother as well? Hope these help you form your character.

Are you beaten each day for a yes or no (CE slavers), or are you given the chance to live amongst the most advanced Races in the world, that for a little boring work (LN slavers)? In your campaign world, if all the PHB races, save humans, are slavers, that make me thing humans are weaker and less advanced in technology...

I doubt if you woke one morning and said, "Ya know, I think slaves have it made-I want to be a slave!" There are several ways you can become a slave. Most common are being captured durring a raid or a battle and being the child of slaves. Other possiblities include being sold by your parents, committing criminal offenses, and being a debtor. If your character is still technically a slave, what kind of work does he perform for his masters? There are 3 general catagories of work: 1. Specialized labor: clerk, blacksmith, mason, or healer. 2. Housework: buttler, cook, sex toy, or house cleaner. 3. General laborer: farm hand, miner, ditch digger, wood cutter, etc. House slaves and specialists are more closely monitored, but usually live better than the general laborers. It is nearly impossible for a slave of catagory to pass themself as a slave of a different work catagory (keep this in mind for when you need to hide amongst slaves).
