Need help giving drow a name! Please, more knowledgable peeps help a fellow geek out! [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-20-04, 03:39 PM Simply put, at the suggestion of my DM-to-be, i am considering making the Wizard character, who i was going to play as a Tiefling, into a Drow. Problem is I am terrible with Elf names in general, and worse with Drow ones. Now i know stuff like Drizzt and Masoj Hunett and other stuff.

But what i need help with is the underlying nameology behind the Drow name. The elusive logic that makes Drow names work.

He's a male, was going to be roughly 30 (now will be Drow equivalent) and a minor-to-very-minor noble.

07-20-04, 11:53 PM If you can get a copy of 2nd ed The Drow of the Underdark, it has a section on nomenclature. That'd probably help you.
