Sanctius

I am making a Paladin char for a roleplaying group, I need some help with the flavour of the character.

I figured the Paladin once would have been evil, and for some reason he turned good...very good. I want him to be extreme of the Lawful Good alignment.

If anyone have any ideas on what happened to him in the earlier years of his life please write the ideas here.

Also, he is lvl 15, so if the character flavour would be better for him to have been another class before getting Paladin, please post that too.

well, a name would be nice, but i'll just use your screenname as an example.

Many years ago, Sanctius was a former cleric of Wee Jas, goddess of death and magic, and was most favored by the goddess herself. for many years, the goddess blessed him with wine and gold. Because of this divine favor, however, the other members of Sanctius' temple started to become jealous. The conspiring clergymen talked behind his back, pleading to Wee Jas false indescretions that Sanctius had committed against the temple.
Angered, the goddess conspired with the clergymen. A few months later, the temple of Wee Jas battled with an opposing temple.
It was here that the goddess' plan was put into action. During the heat of battle, Sanctius' fellow clergymen ganged up on him an stabbed him viciously and left him for dead.
Seeing that his goddess had betrayed him, Sanctius swore revenge upon the cruel diety and her worshipers. Sanctius was soon found by a family that worshipped Heironious, and he soon joined the ranks of paladins that stood as a symbol of the temple.

If I can remember well, Wee Jas is LN, goddess of magic, death and vanity.

However, I think you can be a Paladin of Wee Jas, being LG. Of course Wee Jas isn't a deity that favors or even has paladins but you can make an exception just to show the world that his goddess isn't so vain (sp?).

You could add some levels of Favored Soul or Cleric in the beginning to give your character some more flavor.

Maybe he was a drunken mercenary for many years, involved in all sorts of heinous deeds. He reveled in his own evil. Then a war broke out and he was hired by one side. The opposing army captured him and tortured him for many months before finally leaving him for dead at the bottom of a deep ravine. There he found help from a druid who nursed him back to health. He vowed he would never go back to that old life since it led him to horror he had never known before.
