| Loki59412-05-03, 10:28 AM | I'm joining a game set in somewhat of a homebrew world that is based on the Underdark. Basically what happened is a long time ago a bunch of people got together and cast some spell or another and it went horribly wrong with huge unforseen consequences that ended up obliterating much of the surface world. As a result the majority of the planets population flooded into the only remaining livable areas:the underdark. Now one of the results of this spell was that a whole lot of magic stuff got really really messed up, specifically a whole lot of divine magic. So there are no longer things like the domain of elf, or time, and several others. Now I am playing an elven clerical archer that has a big ole spark of divine power within him. Basically eventually he will ascend into god hood and bring back the domains of elf, and time, and he will try to bring the elven race to the forefront as the best race in the world, so he will also have fertility in his portfolio. So how do you roleplay someone that knows that he HAS to survive so that his race will become dominant, but also knows that he will become a God and have power beyond his wildest dreams. Also he knows that he can accomplish a lot of good in the world and so does not want to stay dormant, he wants to get out there and help people, elves specifically, and just make the underdark a bettre place to live for while we have to live there (right now campaign goal is to restore the surface). I will be joining the campaign soon (it's already in progress), as in less than a week. So just any ideas would be really helpful. BTW I'm CG but could go NG and be happy. Thanks alot for all your help |

She know, but don't want to admit it, that she will become the next goddess of magic. She just see the immense responsabilities behind the godhood. She track divine beings (Baine, Bhaal & Myrkul) because someone have to do it, and she can. She is NG. 2) Cyric. After seeing some gods dying (Mystra, and Bane when killed by Elminster), and acquiring a powerful weapon (Godsbane), he decides that he would become a god. He walk on the head of everyone around him, to reach this goal. He seeks the Tablets of Fate to bring them back to Ao and say: "You have no choice, Dude; now I'm a god." He will even kill former friends. He is CE. Another good example is Frodon, from LOtR. He is the wearer of the Ring, and must keep his vow of destroying it. In the same time, he must take care of not be corrupted by the Ring. However, he doesn't know if he will become a god at the end of his journey. |
