monkmania 05-15-06, 07:40 AM	So I'm playing a samurai-ish character... Some background: His name is "Aishoyu Mai-dong" (say it outloud), and he is a master of the Long Wang Style. He travels because he accidentally killed his entire dojo during a freak pie eating contest, and wishes to hone his Long Wang in order to honor his dead brethen. Lawful Neutral. I even gave him a few ranks in perform (Weapon Drill) so he can show off his... ::cough:: Long Wang to those interested. So far, I've got the following battlecries/catchphrases: To Enemies: I will bludgeon you with my Long Wang (If he uses the technique with his Adamantine Nunchaku). Perhaps my Long Wang will teach you a lesson. You have angered me -- now I will show you my Long Wang. HAHA I see you are no match for my Long Wang! You are indeed strong, but still not stronger than my Long Wang. Do not take my Long Wang lightly! Long Wang flurry!!! (He's got monk levels) You underestimate my Long Wang. To Powerful Enemies: Though I may be defeated this day, I DIE WIELDING THE LONG WANG OF MY MASTER! My Long Wang has failed me! To Party Members: I lend you my friendship... and my Long Wang. Perhaps one day, when the world is at peace, the world will no longer be in need of my Long Wang. Mayhaps my Long Wang can be of service? My Long Wang allows me to be prepared for anything! Show me your fighting technique, and I will show you my Long Wang. I wish to honor the Long Wang of my dead master. Ah! So the reputation of my Long Wang has preceded me! Five-hundred gold pieces buys my Long Wang (because he is a masterless ronin, he sells himself out as a mercenary). I will shield you with my Long Wang! (Aid Another action) Criteria: As much as these are blatant in their use of the term Wang (which happens to be the last name of our DM hehe), if you have any catchphrases I can add to this list, make sure they're not over the top blatant (like "I will whip out my Long Wang and beat you with it" -- that's just too obvious and _not at all_ creative). It has to fit into the context of the fighting style (and not just phallic qualities). I have yet to figure out how to integrate Aishoyu Mai-dong's name in any catchphrases (he could refer to himself in third person, but to put it in a funny phrase is beyond me). Umm... Why does EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. mention "Long Wang?" it's kind of the point, seeing that his fighting technique is the Way of the Long Wang... a running joke you could say. re: "One day in meditation it came to me; I saw before me the Essence of the Wang and I knew I had mastered it," i would change that to "One day in meditation it came to me; I saw before me my master's Long Wang and I knew I had mastered it."

I LOVE IT! :cheer: Anyhow, here's what I came up with: The Long Wang was discovered by my grandfather, Hituki Maidong! A good warrior fights with his heart. A better warrior fights with his Brains. The best warriors fight with the Long Wang! Whenever I am in doubt, I focus on my Long Wang and everything becomes clear! (when weakened/hurt) I could use some potions to strengthen my Long Wang! My Long Wang will bring you on your knees! The Long Wang can be found in everyone Not everyone knows how to handle the Long Wang inside of him.
