| gfunk626612-31-04, 04:28 PM | We're starting an Eberron campaign on Monday in Sharn (using the various WotC modules). We've a large party (~8 PCs) and I'm running a Marshal. Here as his stats: Str: 8 Dex: 14 Con: 14 Int: 10 Wis: 10 Cha: 18 AC: 15 HP: 10 Diplomacy: +11 Bluff: +8 Sense Motive: +4 Knowledge (Nobility & Royalty): +4 Spot: +4 Feats Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Rapid Shot Flaws -2 on melee attacks (can't remember name of feat) Minor Aura Motivate Dexterity For alignment I'm thinking LG or LN. I'm not too familiar with Eberron in general so if you all could bounce around a few ideas, I would greatly appreciete it. |

Are you adding in the synergy bonuses already? They don't kick in until you have 5 ranks. Anyway, clearly he had a role as a negotiator of some kind. Perhaps he played a dual role in the army. He helped handle negotiations in between battles, and lead a team of archers on the battlefield. |

Any idea how old he would have to be? His social skills are interesting. Also a good idea. His skills are 4 ranks + 4 Cha + 3 SF (free with Marshal). |

As someone so gifted with charisma and leadership skills, it would make sense that he might have been sometihng of a Golden Boy in whatever army he was in. Even though the War is ended, you might want to explain why they couldn't hold on to him. Perhaps family duties? It would make sense for him to be a noble of some sort, considering his Knowledge skill, and that he was an officer. |

I suggest you pick up the book, it is worth the $40. Now for my brief background: He was a refugee from Cyre, who was fighting just days before the Day of Mourning, but was sent to some capital for negotiatons, leaving his squad behind. The squadron perished. He feels guilty about leaving his squadron behind to die, even though it is not his fault. |
