Kele never really grew up in a city. her whole life she lived wandering the forests ouside the inhabited area of Sharn, with her family. Her family, being exiled from the villages of sharn proper for disagreeing with the overrunning of the wildlife there, learned to live off the forest and it's gifts. her whole life she was taught to respect nature and the inhabitance of it, while training and honing the gift inside everyone. her families nature was always that of kind gentle folk. they helped and healed travelers and animals alike, and Kele was no exception.

Over the last few years, wondering what she was missing and what good she could do there, she decided to head to sharn and the villages around it to explore and help where she could.

this is what i ahve.. please help me flesh it out.. or re-write it to make it better : )

Depends heavily on where you want to take it. You also need a little more info like race, class, etc.

Give this one a try.

Kele lived her whole life wandering the forests outside the inhabited area of Sharn with her family. Her family, a clan of exiled shifters who prominently disagreed with the destruction of the surrounding wildlife, learned to live at peace with the forest, the river, and cliffs. Then came the cleansing of the Silver Flame. The war on shifters destroyed much of the clan leaving only a few scattered families.

Her whole life she was taught to respect nature, while training and honing the gift inside her. Her family bore no grduge for the destruction of the old clan and were a gentle folk. They helped and healed travelers and animals alike, and Kele was no exception.

Over the last few years Kele has begun to wonder at the attraction of the massive city though. What granduers this new environment held that the cliffs and rivers did not. She sees each building as a new part of nature the grand city of Sharn is to her an anthill of humans. or perhaps more accuretly a concrete jungle filled with dozens of species that can live together nowhere else.

Still the heart of nature is cut off to a certain degree in this landscape of artifice and it is that more than anything else which intrigues her. How can others wake in the morning when they cannot see the sun? How can they dance in the rain while living under rooves? Strangest of all how can they live side by side without the structure of the pack? And if the others can live side by side with those who are not part of their lives can she?

It is in her nature to protect and nurture growth so that will be the role she seeks in Sharn. This will likely cause problems as in Sharn those roles fall to a specific groups. She should have trouble understanding that it is the guards place to protect and not hers or that healing is done for a price by Jorasco not for free by her. This should give you an idea what her life began like in Sharn.

After that it depends on what you want to play. She may find herself taken advantage of by any of the many criminal organizations in the depths of the city or working at a Jorasco hospital since in Sharn, as all major cities, coin rules. She could even become something of a Mother Theresa figure in the poorest quarter which is heavily inhabited by creatures outside the standard races (hobgoblins, goblins, ogres, harpies, a sphinx somewhere in the mix). Someone else may be able to give you the name of that district. She would of course still have to be a capable fighter in an area like that since fighting is a way of life for many of those creatures and few have great respect for healers. If you need extra hooks for your DM remember also that while your family doesn't bear a grudge for the cleansing of the lycanthropes your more distant relatives may well.

For a character like that I suggest Shifter Druid. Probably Dreamsight but a slight revision of Swiftwing attitude to represent a more curious avian ancester like magpie or owl would work quite nicely too (wouldn't even need any stats adjustment).

i am partially adapting it, the character i am playing is a human healer, from the mini's handbook. but she is from the wilderness and actually me and a shifter are starting as friends, as i talked him out of hunting down a bunch of silverflames b/c of the persicution (sp??)

but that background helped out alot.. i have never really played eberron so i was just trying to throw something together w/o to many details
