King Bulba 06-17-05, 05:17 AM	OK, I am making a Wookie who was born on Naboo. Now I want to decide what weapon he would use. I want him to use a Ryyk blade but I am having trouble fitting it to the story. The other option I was thinking of was using a Vibrosaw. I want to use the one that makes sense to his story... Well anyways here I go hehe, ill try to keep clutter out. His mother was a slave during the empires rule and escaped to Naboo. She was mortally wounded in the escape attempt, which caused her to give birth prematurely and die. He grew up and had little knowledge of Wookies other than what are in books there on Naboo. The Queen hid any records of him to stick it to the man hehe. He followed up his adopted fathers profession and became and engineer. Now the Ryyk blade could ONLY fit if it was on his mother when she escaped. He then inherited it, but if she was a slave then how would she have the blade... I doubt her owner would allow her to have that weapon. I’m having trouble finding an excuse for her to have it. He wouldn’t normally have it because he knows little of Wookie culture and in his eyes he is a citizen of Naboo. Option number two is that he might use a vibrosaw in his job. Image of a Wookie with a chainsaw is pretty tempting hehe. He is in ship construction and he might cut plaststeel with it or something. I would want a real excuse that he might need it though. So what do you guys think? I would rather use the Ryyk blade and that taints my judgment. Either way I would like a credible story of why he has it. Thanks for your time.
Particle 06-17-05, 11:16 AM	A merchant sold exotic artifacts, including a widely known, ceremeonial weapon of a strange culture called wookie. " Dont want you to see, it looks nice, doesnt it? Its very rare, so I have to charge some extra sum..." Um, he found one in a museum or a book(/datapad) or some such, and decided to find a smith to make a replica to remind him of his heritage... But I would stick simpley to Vibro Blades/Rapiers....
King Bulba 06-17-05, 06:42 PM	Thanks for your replay it has given me another angle to look at. The wookie himself wouldnt buy it because he is undercover. Only the townfolk plus the queen/her office knows about him, he becomes a local hero when he is discovered and escapes. Maybe the datapad is the reason for him being discovered though. The mercient was stoped by imperials one day and they asked him if he sold anything odd lately and it was backtracked to the person who gave it to the wookie for his birthday. This feels alot better than what I thought of at first. Thanks =)
