He discovered quickly that animating the dead could greatly aid in his struggle against evil. Unfourantly necromancy wasn't something that many people tolerated. So he became a traveler. And now worships the God of all travelers. What do you think? I'm considering where I wish to go from here in terms of character development |

I'm considering where I wish to go from here in terms of character development he converts the flesh of the dead into instruments of justice. using only the bodies of the evil doer. Picture him with walking down the lane with ten BBEG's following behind him as zombies. It'd be like Thriller! WOO! |
| Gingerbread Guy02-23-04, 11:29 AM | Yeah, this needs work. Most people hate evil.. thats just how our societies work; its what they teach us. Few people wake up one day and say to themselves "You know, I think I really like evil. Who knew?" That being said, slim to no people actually get up and do something about it. Of those that do, even fewer are going to decide they want to figure out how to make bodies jump up and kill stuff for them so that they can get rid of evil. What you have here is a VERY rare individual who may well be out of his damn mind. Something major and messed-up must have happened to this guy to make him chose this bizzare path. He could easily take up the sword or at the very least the holy symbol to battle evil. This guy is going the extra mile, and maybe in the wrong direction. We gotta figure out why. I suggest a page from my un-paladin. He was once a budding paladin, travelling as a young squire to an accomplished landed knight. Things were going well, he was learning a lot about chivalry, theology, honour, valor and yadda yadda.. until they were mobilized to bring a witch to justice. He, his mentor, and several other knights hunted the witch down and prepared their assault. The night before they were to attack, the witch came to the young squire in his dreams and dominated him. He watched in shock as the witch controlled his body. She made him slit the throats of his companions as they slept, and finally his own. Left to bleed to death, he had a few precious moments to contemplate the error of his ways. Honour was not the way.. valor and chivalry had done him and his companions no good. Theology had saved no one and justice was yet to be served. Somehow, he survived his wounds, though the scar on his neck serves as a constant reminder of the new, improved oath he swore that night. Now he hunts evil by it's own rules - he lies, cheats, steals, skulks and backstabs in the name of all things holy. Perhaps something similar happened to him, although perhaps not quite as drastic, or maybe even moreso. Either way, I suggest that he realised [wether its right or not] that sometimes its best to fight fire with fire. Its not a pretty job, but he's ready to make that sacrifice for the good of the world. Now... I'm not so sure this is the kind of guy that Fharlanghn is going to be sponsoring. I know the guy is neutral, but I don't think he cares about the sway of good vs. evil so much as he doesn't want one of his clergy giving him a bad name by tossing zombies around. This character seems more appropriate for a Wee Jass follower, or even a St. Cuthbert if you're righteous enough. ^_^ Death to mean people! ~Ginger |
