I have a 9 lvl NG Cleric of Lathander with a winged-template with bat-wings, in a FR-campaign. He is currently hiding his wings under his cloak.

His domains are Sun and Protection.

Feats:
Shield specialization(way of the sword)
Practiced spellcaster
Flyby attack
Craft wonderous item
Initiate of Lathander

I am a little tired of him being a goodie goodie boy, so I want him to be more cold, with a new deity and a new alignment.

I was thinking of making him LN and worship Hoar or Kelemvor.

My character lost his wife and child in a storm a couple of years ago and I thougt it maybe could be something that I could use to make him change. And to make it better, my char is beginning to be angry/annoyed at the partys druid.

He is a melee combat-cleric and I want him to be focused on fighting and more indifferent on what people say to him and much more powerhungry. He should think more of himself, ofcause he will help his party, but he should think alot on himself.

How do I make the transission from NG to LN and get the new deity? Any role-playing ideas?

He is so attached to his wife/child.He might want to worship kelemvor to better cope with their loss and so he may pray to him to give their souls proper rest/care

If he is of Hoar you could have him be LG first and in his zealous pursuit of (poetic) justice , he slips to LN.

One of the more interesting parts of the FR universe (for theologists) is that the gods actually manifest and make their will known.

Why does it have to be gradual? Stories abound about people who 'saw the light' and converted from wickedness to purity, or about good people who after one bad day just gave up and turned wicked.

I think it would be REALLY interesting if he got a visitation from Lathander, who said "Listen, cleric. You've been traded. I don't need your services anymore. My agenda is pretty well set. But as a favor, Hoar needs a new field agent. You start praying to him, and do what he tells you to do, OK mortal? Kai thx bai."

And leave it up to you and the GM to decide how your character likes having to be more lawful, but doesn't need to be less good all the time.

Maybe he's kind of upset that he had to burn out a nest of goblinoid children. Hoar says "Did you say you were going to save them? No? Then what's the problem? They're only goblins!"

Maybe he gets a series of nightmares in his sleep until he tells the druid exactly what he thinks of him, because Hoar prefers a straightforward approach to dealing with people, instead of a "live and let live" attitude.
