No past concept for my character... [Archive] - Wizards Community

I've created a Vanara Scout, and I like his personality. He acts like a monkey: lots of energy, a little annoying (8 charisma), but very perceptive, intelligent, and sneaky (when he wants to be). He's alot of fun to play, but he comes of a little dry compared to other characters, for he (as of yet) has no background.

The only history he has is that he works as an agent for a powerful NPC, and is partnered up with a Ninja (a PC). Beyond that, he has no past or history for me to play off of.

Please help me come up with some ideas for this guy.

My character is a controlled-by-destiny type. if you maybe made him the last of a race/clan/family, you could also have enemies trying to eliminate him.

Well, if you like to gamble, you could always look your DM in the eye and say, "My character works for <NPC> because he believes <NPC> can help him discover clues to his past and identity; he's an amnesiac. Do your worst."
