Obsidian blades and songs... [Archive] - Wizards Community

Just wondering, how to come up with a believable story for a Drow Swashbuckler 3/Fighter 2/ Wizard 1/ Bladesinger 10 /Ruathar 3...

Anyone, ideas?

I agree, a drow bladesinger is kind of a freak! :D

When I began thinking about this character; first I planned for an evil dude, that learned how to "bladesing" with a renegade bladesinger, or something. But then I saw the Ruathar PrC (by the way, Ruathar is "elf-friend" or "star-friend", it's in Races of the Wild), and suddenly it became even tougher to come up with an idea... I thought about a follower of Eillistraee (or whatever her name is written), but would be much cooler if the bladesinger could wield a bastard sword... Now I'm thinking that maybe the drow isn't a good person...:) and maybe he did something to the elven community (as to qualify to Ruathar) but don't know how to make up this character... But I didn't want to quit on him... :confused:

grr, did I remember hearing somewhere they dont exist anymore though? So lost on current 'timeline' for realms lol

Don't worry, you're not the only one lost... I didn't know that either... So, what happened to priests of Eilistraee?

10-26-06, 11:19 AM I read an old entry (at least I think it's old) where it was disscussed if drow could even be bladesingers and what would the drow equivalent to the bladesinger be... I don't want to start that question again, just woundering, did WotC ever create a drow alternative to the bladesinger, I mean, an official one?

Why couldn't a drow be a regular Bladesinger? I mean, they qualify as "elf or half-elf", don't they?
