ekeeb 06-06-07, 06:19 AM	ok guys heres the thing, i am playing an ogre-mage character based on japanese culture, i have given the DM stats on my character's brother and father, and i am currently running around with my character's sister as her cohort. here's what i've got so far: Tsunami grew up in a strange family, with even stranger ideals, her father, Taki, was a neutral evil wizard and decided to find a mate and have children for the simple purpose of experimenting. the first offspring he experimented on was Sosuke, he went to the trouble of making the child a draconic half-breed, finding the nearest deep dragon and enspelling it into submission. the second offspring to be experimented on was Tsunami, who was spawned from the same process, but instead Taki forced a Gold Dragon into submission, making Tsunami a golod dragon half-breed. the last of his children Taki experimented on was Mai, who was unfortunately the spawn of Taki's sister, whom he promptly killed after what was needed to be done was done, and a vampire, making her the more controversial of the three siblings. Taki died shortly after killing his sister, something about a curse and imminent death he dicided to overlook, and his eldest child, Sosuke, took over the arcane tower his father had built, vowing to kill both of his sisters if they ever crossed his path again. (ah, the loving family of an ogre-mage :P ) now this is where i am stuck for a storyline, where do i go from here, any help or advice would be appreciated. Orchomenos 06-06-07, 10:09 AM	Ok.... I assume that the dragon mothers didn't stay too long around, so if the father died young, who raised you? And why does Sosuke want to kill you? And who is your second sister? From what you wrote, Mai is the daughter of Taki's sister with a vampire, so she's technically your cousin... And all these peoples... they are all Ogre Magi, with some templates?
ekeeb 06-06-07, 11:19 PM	ok, the mothers of the people are indeed dead (just need help fleshing it out with words), indeed they are all ogre-mages, one with the half Deep dragon template, Tsunami with the half Gold dragon template (hence the hostility between the eldest and the middle sibling), and one with the Katane template (half vampire). Mai is Chaotic Neutral, Sosuke is Chaotic Evil, and Tsunami is Neutral Good (yet another reason why Sosuke wants to kill her, extreme conflict of interest). by the time Mai came around, Tsunami was about 15 and Sosuke was around 18 years old, so they could fend for themselves, and after Mai's siblings' contradictory raising techniques, she turned out as the Neutral of the family. our DM has a habit of wanting a complete childhood and storyline for the character, and unfortunately i chose Japanese culture, which i know nothing about, before knowing who was going to DM. so ask any questions ad i will give the answers, i just need a little aid in fleshing out the characters life before adventuring.
