I hate this, every time I want to play a bad ass Wizard some thread comes along and covinces me once again to play a Druid. So far I played a Druid 23 times or around 80 sesions each for 6-10 hours so around 700 hours worth of Druidicing(New word).

I don't need any advice on my so called problem but would like to hear if this has ever happend to you.

Why are you posting this, instead of starting on your wizard? Stop complaining, and start having fun!

Joust had to get it of my poor litel elven hearth.

Don't worry. I find myself trying to roleplay something other than a wizard, but bad DMs or the lack of an "edge" brings me back all the time.

Ever since 2e, I've been playing thieves. Thief here, thief there, thief everywhere, since my gaming group always seems to want me to play one. I've had magical thieves, psionic thieves and godly thieves. I've had happy thieves, angsty thieves, depressed thieves and professional thieves. I've played heroic thieves, antiheroic thieves and blundering thieves without a clue in the world. I've played single-class thieves, dual-class thieves, multiclass-thieves and one quintuple-class thief. I've played straight thieves, thieves with a twist and thieves so twisted they're like a loot-liftin' pretzel-o'-taffer.

The only thing I've yet to do is multiclassing one as a paladin.

My druid/rogue and I feel your pain.

Not much for melee and Wiz/Sor never keep my interest longer than a few sessions.

I'm stuck on Clerics... no forseeable change in the near future either... I feel your pain.

Well, if you want a change, try picking up Savage Species, and roll up a monster char. I admittedly usually play Wizards, although I do have a couple sorcerers, a warlock, a couple swashbucklers, a fighter, and a pair of clerics in my stable. But, in addition to this, I have a Medusa I'm working on getting through monster levels. Fun stuff, man. Especially if your DM is a stickler about RP.

I'm drawn to spontaneous spellcasters. Psions, sorcerers, warmages, warlocks, favored souls, etc. I also go for spellcaster multiclassing, paladin/clerics, fighter/sorcerers, swashbuckler/psions, etc. I can also only play warriors who have good skills. (rangers, barbarians, swashbucklers) Fighters need not apply.

To add something, my bigest problem is

I can't play a character with a wisdom lower than 14!!! (Druid addiction)

And as you may allready gues this makes every character of mine a bit lame (Ex. A barbarian of mine had 12 str 14 dex and 16 wisdom and I didn't multiclas him! He was usuall in the back BEEING defended by the spellcasters!)

*nods* Yep. Same problem here: I always, always go for dex, int and cha. Move fast, think fast, talk fast... no need to hit hard and, if things go right, no need to run far.

hell yes, I got the same thing. I am an addict of bards, and whenever I'm not a bard I'm a rogue with a quick babble. I just can't bring myself to creating a char with no high charisma score. Now I finally have moved myself to creating a monk, and even now I'm having 15 charisma. Where am I supposed to get my fighting strength from now??

I'm addicted to halflings. That's probably because they excel at the two classes i can't seem to pry myself away from, rogue and sorcerer, and they are so fun to play. And I absolutely cannot make a chatacter with below 14 Dexterity. Even when I played a fighter i made him a halfling with 16 dex and put him in light armor.

I'm addicted to half-elf rangers. I can't help it. I tried to play a fighter and I missed my skills. I played a rogue and ached for my spells. I played a wizard and I perished in hand-to-hand combat with a low level orc.

Oh yeah, I too am openly a Dex addict. :D

I'm an arcane caster addict. Wizards, Sorcerers, Warlocks. Gotta love them. Clerics lose their shine for me after a bit. The only noncaster char I've had that I still liked after a few levels is my Medusa char I'm working through monster levels.
