| Charles Phipps09-13-03, 03:41 PM | I'm not sure whether this should go into the Character Optimization forum or not but basically I'm streamlining a character history for a number of characters that have been wandering around my games for years.... One of the more beloved figures is Fujimon who just sort of wanders in every now and then, spouts some philosophical oddity and then my players get to test their skills against him before probably learning some new feats. The problem is over the years he's spouted or its been implied a number of background points about him and I'm fairly sure its time I actually stopped the mystery and gave him a real origin. (Its easy to be very mysterious about a character's past when he doesn't have one written) I'm sure some of it is false (the character doesn't say much but lots of legends about him) but I'm not sure which to go with and what sort of implications each origin has for the guy in society.... Here's the collected little tidbits thus far Not sure what to remove, reconcile, or not * The character definately wears a wakisashi and katana and fights with them the best in the land * The character belonged to a tribal culture of some kind of the land (Rokugan rip off) that was eradicated by the local samurai because of a part in a prophecy he'd play (ditto for most of the players) * The character originally belonged to an order of monks that were militant wandering defenders of the land but whom he eventually left because of conflicts in idealogy (They were Neutral he was good) * The character is supposedly from the noble family that produces the greatest swordsmen in Rokugan One of his swords is definately made of the metal of said sword * The character had a sister who was entrapped in a sword by a demon that was a main campaign villain |
