Paladin of Freedom backstory [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-03-07, 11:27 AM Okay next week my group is stating a Dragonlance campaign I'm a human paladin of freedom thats on his way to dragon rider. Any ideas on a background?

08-04-07, 01:28 AM Hmm... I'm not very familiar with dragonlance. Perhaps you could give us a bit more information on what you expect him to be in terms of personality?

For example, is he a humorous type or more dour?

Does he come from a wealthy, aristocratic family? A poor background as an orphan? A middle class family of barristers?

Does he have any hobbies?

That sort of thing.

08-04-07, 01:56 AM As a Dungeon Master, I'd personally disallow any sort of Paladin in Dragonlance, solely because of the existance of the various Knights.

But since Paladin is allowed, why not set a backstory up in one of the Knight systems? They're full of flavor and built right into the sourcebook. Maybe you want to help people accept Dragons as not evil beasts? Maybe you want to be the next Huma?
