Like most criminals we ran to Stormreach as fast as we could and signed onto an expedition into the jungle. The group consists of a Warforged Fighter/Barbarian/Warforged Juggernaut and a Human Artificer (Bastard son of House Cannieth) whom have been allies since the later years of the Last War. I myself am playing a Shifter(Gorebrute+Beasthide) Monk/Swordsage/Shadow Sun Ninja who joined the party sometime after the Last War. As well when we got to Xen'drik we recieved the companionship of a lost Valener Elf Ranger. Things have been going well for the PCs up until two games ago. We're getting ready for exploring a ruin full of Hill Giants and Drow so the Artificer has acquired a Wand of Ray of Enfeeblement for the giants. The player for the Artificer decided roleplay wise he wanted to test out the Ray of Enfeeblement so he zaps the shifter. I proceed to have my shifter kick the crap out of him. He beats the Artificer near to unconsciousness before he was forced to teleport away by the means of Shadow Jaunt as the Warforged Juggernaut and Valenar elf intervene. So my char runs off into the jungle to cool off. All the while stalking drow and a few Hill Giants. Eventually with the help of a Rod of Divination found later on the rest of the party find the Shifter. After an apology on the part of the Artificer my Shifter has come back. Though he's disinclined to help out the Artificer as of late. Now how long should I carry on the Shifter's disposition towards the Artificer? Anyone have similar events transpire for thier parties and if so how did it turn out for the party? Did it develop an interesting storyline for the rest of the campaign or did it screw up your campaign? |

Convince them to set-up an encounter specifically designed to bring down the artificer. Make sure your shifter is the one who saves his rear. After that you can go back to helping him in every situation possible and bring up how he couldn't have gotten this far without you.:D |
